Baby Update - Week 34

Cole is pretty much as long now as he will be when he is born. At this point, he is just packing on the pounds!

Total weight gain: up 24 lbs. I had a 5 lb weight gain last appt! EEK!!!!


Maternity clothes?: yes

Sleep: Still waking up several times in the night to go to the bathroom or to flip sides.

Best moment this week: One night of almost straight sleep! Only woe up once to go to the bathroom!
Miss Anything?: Not this week.

Movement: Yes!
Food cravings: Nothing really this week.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Not now.

Gender prediction: It's a BOY!!!!

Labor Signs: Nope

Symptoms: Lack of sleep. Still getting the hip flexor pain.
Belly Button in or out? Flat. Gracyn tried to touch it the other day. Creepy!

Wedding rings on or off? On!
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!

Looking forward to: Saturday 6/1...I can then say, "I'm due next month!"
Gracyn's take on the baby: She said she is ready for him to come out so she can meet him. She also told me that when Cole comes out it will easier for me to turn over. : )



Dance Dance...Gracyn's First Recital

BaBy-Q!!!!!

Heather and Shannon threw Katie and me a wonderful BaBy-Q! Shannon and G-rise hosted this event at their fabulous new home! Clint smoked a pork butt and then we had typical BBQ sides like cole slaw and potato salad. G-rise also grilled up some hot wings...since they are my favorite! We had such a wonderful time with wonderful friends! This was supposed to be just a gathering, not a shower. Of course, our great friends still showered Katie, me, and our little boys with gifts. We love our friends!

Baby Update - Week 33

This is a durian fruit...I have no idea what this is.  Cole is keeping his eye open during his awake time.  He's also starting to coordinate breathing with sucking and swallowing.

 Total weight gain: up 19 lbs.


Maternity clothes?: yes

Sleep: Still waking up several times in the night to go to the bathroom or to flip sides.

Best moment this week: Clint's group at work thru us a small baby shower! Very sweet of them!
Miss Anything?: Not this week.

Movement: Yes...Have been seeing the BIG rolling movements.

Food cravings: Nothing really this week.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Not now.

Gender prediction: It's a BOY!!!!

Labor Signs: Nope

Symptoms: Lack of sleep. Still getting the hip flexor pain. It's like a burning pain. Clint had to help me get out of bed the other night because it was hurting so bad!

Wedding rings on or off? On! Although there are days when it's a little snug coming off!

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!

Looking forward to: the next 7 weeks going by fast!

Gracyn's take on the baby: She loves to lay on my belly. I asked her the other day why she always wants to lay on me now. She said, " I want to lay next to Cole." Can she get any sweeter?!

Why We Can't Go Out in the Rain

This is Gracyn's reasoning on why we can't go out in the rain.

Rain makes the flowers grow.

If we go outside in the rain our heads will get wet.

Flowers will grow on our head!

Zoo Fun!

Flashback to several weeks ago.....The weekend we did Cole's 3D Ultrasound we also went to the Tulsa Zoo. We made a zoo book so that Gracyn could write about all the animals she saw there. I took that Friday off work and we headed that way. Our plan was for Gracyn to nap on the way there then we grab lunch at the zoo. Of course, that was not her plan. She stayed awake until we got off at the zoo exit...then she was snoring away. So, Clint and I decided we would go to Babies R Us so I could get a cradle sheet and storage baskets. We then stopped at Sonic and ate in the car and just got Gracyn a kid's pack to go. Once we got to the zoo we woke her up and she was so excited to get in and see all the animals that were in her zoo book. Mom fail...I forgot a pen! So we had to stop at the gift shop and buy a pen...a $6 pen! In the zoo book, I had a page with a sticker of a different animal at the top. Once we got to the animal Gracyn would describe what he looked like and what he was doing. She had a blast with this, and so did Clint and I!

More big rocks! These were in a cave...all she wanted to do was play in the cave.

I know this is a terrible picture, but the story behind is cracks me up. She told us she needed to get in the water and actually took off her jacket and started to take off her shoes. I said, "Gracyn, you can't get in there...there's a bear in there." She saw the bear and said, "Oh. You're right...there is a bear in there!" She was just so serious about getting in that water!

Gracyn loved the raccoon and the raccoon loved her! Actually, he liked the $6 pen we bought. It had a light on the end and Gracyn would put it up to the window and he would try to get it.

Pretty girl on the carousal! We got there right as they were closing so they let her ride it twice!

Grumpy Girls favorite animal was the Monkey! She was not happy here because we had to leave to zoo. Getting to put the "favorite animal" sticker on the monkey page made her somewhat happy.







Baby Update - Week 32



I have no idea what this even is. All I know is that it's huge! Cole is getting ready for his descent  and is "likely" in the head-down position now. I say "likely" because at our 3D ultrasound he was still breech. I really hope he turns in time!

Gracyn's take on the baby: She has been practicing being a big sister with her baby doll. She has put one of Cole's diapers on her and is learning how to change diapers and give baby baths!

Baby Update - Week 31!



Holy Cow....a Pineapple?! Pineapple's are HUGE and oh so good! Cole is getting so big that he is starting to crowd into my lungs. He is still going through major brain and nerve development.


Total weight gain: up 19 lbs. I was so proud of myself for only gaining 1 lb at my last appt. However, I gained 4 lbs at my appt yesterday. : (

Maternity clothes?: yes

Sleep: Not happening. I'm up several times to go to the bathroom and I feel like I need a forklift to come lift me to switch from side to the other.
Best moment this week: Hearing Cole's heartbeat! It never gets old!

Miss Anything?: I was a little jealous of Clint getting to drink an Apple Wheat beer. I've been wanting to try it!!!

Movement: Yes!

Food cravings: Nothing really this week.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Not now.

Gender prediction: It's a BOY!!!!
