Happy Independance Day!

Our holiday weekend started off with a trip to the doctor. Gracyn woke up about 6 that morning with a fever. I had to go into work for a couple hours so Clint took her to the walk in clinic. They said she had an ear infection in both ears. The doctor and nurses were surprised how happy she seemed to be even though she was sick. We had made plans to go swimming that day but canceled. Jeffie came over that afternoon and we just hung out at the house and made some tacos!

That evening we went down to Van Buren to see Katie, Eric, and Caroline. Clint had smoked some ribs and Eric had grilled some hot dogs. We all ate dinner then went outside to shoot off some fountains and let the girls do some sparklers. We had a perfect view of the fireworks down at The Field of Dreams so we got to see a great show!

Gracyn and Caroline were more impressed with this amazing shoe than they were the fireworks!

Cute Family!

Gracyn doing her SPARKLER! She kept trying to reach for it.

We have a very busy July so should have lots of posts this month! This coming weekend we are going to Tulsa to celebrate my mom's 50th birthday! Graycn will get to see her Great Great Aunt Bert and finally get to meet her Great Aunt Karen!

PARTY!!!!

Caroline's 1st birthday was last Wednesday and her party on Saturday. I'm pretty sure everyone was in awe at how fabulous Caroline's party turned out...not that anyone expected less from Katie! : ) She did an AMAZING job! She had been planning for months and all her hard work showed. Here are just a couple of shots of the decorations.

Great family shot!

Here is Kaeleigh. She was more concerned about getting back out to the jump around than she was in having her picture taken.

Heather and Gracyn

Gracyn crashed about half way through the party. She missed Caroline opening her gifts and eating her cake :(

After the party, we stayed around to visit for a little while. Gracyn is sitting up so well now and is able to interact more with Caroline. Here they are playing tea party.

Happy Father's Day...

To the best Dad ever!!!! These are some of my favorite pictures from the past couple of months.

Dad holding his new baby girl right after she was born.

Reading Gracyn her first book, "If You Give a Pig a Party."

Asleep on the couch.

In style on Valentine's Day.

Looking good at G-rise's wedding.

Gracyn is so lucky to have such a great Daddy! She is going to be a Daddy's girl, for sure!

Ready for the Hogs!

Gracyn is ready to call the Hogs!

We met up with some friends at Guido's to watch the Diamond Hogs take on the Sun Devil's at the super regional. Unfortunately we lost in the 12th inning when ASU hit a home run.

Gracyn sitting up all by herself in the high chair. It didn't last long. I think she was bored.

Gracyn has gotten some new toys this past month. We finally got around to buying her exersaucer. She hasn't really figured out how to move forward, instead she moves backwards.

When we are on the computer we usually put Gracyn in her swing (we moved it to the computer room.) Sometimes she thinks she needs to be sitting on our lap and then she'll bang around on the keyboard. I decided that she needed a computer of her own. I bought her the Vtech, my first laptop. It lights up and plays music. I don't think she realizes that the buttons is what causes the music to play and the "screen" to light up. She is always trying to grab the flashing lights on the screen and ends up closing it instead.

Look What I Can Do!!!

Gracyn has outgrown her tub! Well, let's just say we moved it to the big tub so that she doesn't splash water everywhere. That was the problem when putting her tub in the sink. She would kick her feet and slap her hands in the water and I would always end up wetter than she was. I tried sitting her in the sink, but that didn't work very well. Here she looks like she is all kicked back in a hot tub! She isn't quiet sure what that thing is that's floating in her water!

Gracyn is at that stage where she doesn't want to lay down, she wants to be sitting up and looking around. This is not a good thing while I'm trying to cook dinner or pick up around the house. Problem solved! I just open the door and sit her in front of it and she has a blast! Of course, I can see her at all times.

She is really starting to keep her balance while trying to sit up on her own. She is still pretty wobbly but can hold a sitting position for a good 30 seconds!

I've noticed she has been trying to hold her own bottle for awhile, but today she took control and fed herself! Of course, I was right there so that every time she dropped it I could put it back in her mouth. I'm not sure I'm ready for her to start holding her own bottle. It just means she is growing up too fast! We haven't even started baby food yet!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!

I had a very good first Mother's Day! Gracyn and I stayed Saturday night at Nonna's (my mom) and cooked her breakfast Sunday morning. Then later that afternoon we got to visit with Ma (Clint's mom.) Katie, Eric, and Caroline came up that evening and the dad's took us new mommies out for sushi at Shoguns then to have frozen yogurt at Orange Mango! YUMMY!

Gracyn's 1st Easter

Gracyn had a wonderful 1st Easter. She got to spend time with family, dye eggs, and dress up!

Saturday, my mom and I took Kaeleigh and Gracyn to an Easter egg hunt at the Springdale Rodeo Grounds. The first age group to go was the 4 and under. Kaeleigh hunted egss for Gracyn and she came away with some great prizes! Kaeleigh had to then wait til her turn with the 8-10 year olds.

So sweet...but I'm sure they will be trouble together when they are older.

Kaeleigh in action!

Is it just me, or does it seem that guys always cut the heads of people off when they take a picture? My brother took this one. Kaeleigh looks terrified, which she was. Gracyn is like, "what's wrong with you? It's just a rabbit!"

Later that afternoon, Clint, Gracyn, and I headed over Grandpa and Ma Thomas's house in Bristow, OK. We had to make a pitstop in Tulsa at Babies R Us...one of my favorite stores! How sad is that?! When we got to Bristow we had dinner then it was time to dye Easter eggs. Gracyn wasn't quiet sure what to do so Mommy, Daddy, and Aunt Jeffie took over. I think we had too much fun.

The next morning, Gracyn woke up to a surprise! The Easter Bunny had visited and had left tons of goodies in her Easter Basket! She got a Razorback bow, some pacifiers, some sleepers, a couple of books, and a little lamb! Oh, and she got some Peeps, but she gave those to Mommy! We then got ready to go to church. Gracyn loved dressing up and having people ooing and awing over her. She is such a little ham!

4 Months Old Already!

Gracyn had her 4 month check up on the 19th. She is up to 13 lbs 14 oz. The doctor said she is looking good and that she can start eating cereal. She had to get her second round of immunization shots. Here she is showing off her battle wounds...daffy duck style!

Last weekend, Gracyn had her first vavcation trip. Our good friends, G-rise and Shannon got married in Hot Springs, so some of us rented a cute, little house for the weekend.

She was exhausted after a long afternoon of shopping with Mommy and Sarah. She took a little nap before it was time to get ready for the wedding. She has been doing this thing where she will cover her eyes if it's too bright for her. I think we may have to invest in a sleeping mask for the little princess!

I was a little nervous about taking her to the wedding, but she was amazing! She didn't make a peep during the ceremony and was great during the reception.
