Gracyn's First Christmas!

Gracyn's first Christmas is a White Christmas! How amazing is that?! Santa brought Gracyn a Seahorse. She also got a cute dress and a Lovey. Her Great Grandma Blair, LaLa, gave her a beautiful quilt. Clint and I also got one. Clint got the Madden 10 video game and I got a new Tano purse!!!

Our plan was to go to my parent's house today and celebrate, but due to the snow we are postponing til Sunday. I got a call at 6:30 from my brother telling me that Kaeleigh's new "Baby Alive" peed on him...kinda creepy. Monday we will go to Bristow, OK to Clint's parent's house to celebrate with them. Baby Gracyn still has tons of presents to open!

Smile!

Gracyn is in the beginning stages of learning how to smile. We have caught her in the act several times. However, when we try to coax anymore out of her all we get is her sticking her tongue out at us.

First Time to Meet

Katie came up today and brought along her sweet little girl, Caroline. Her and Gracyn are right at 5 months apart. It is amazing the size difference in a one month old and a six month old. Caroline only weights 4 more pounds than Gracyn, but when you add 4 pounds to something to small it makes a big difference. I'm excited to see Gracyn get bigger, but sad at the same time. Anyway, this was the first time the two little girls have met...they were friends at first sight! They exchanged their Christmas gifts and just hung out for the day. We got some good pictures of them laying beside each other. Caroline kept trying to pull Gracyn's pacifier out of her mouth. I look forward to seeing these two little girls grow up to be best friends...just like their mommies!

Christmas Cards

I am terrible at sending out Christmas cards. I buy them, sign them, and address them but never send them. So this year I decided I wanted to do one of the picture cards with our new family. For over a week now I have been telling Clint that we need to get a picture, but of course we have been putting it off. I wanted to go to the square but then decided to go to Old Main. Last night we finally made it out to campus with Jeffie as our photographer. It was so cold! I then decided I wanted to go to one of the sorority houses and get our picture on their front porch. Their houses always look so pretty with the lights. So we trespass onto one of the porches and get a few good pics. After all that I decided today that I wanted to put her in her Christmas dress and just do a picture of her instead. They turned out really cute. I've ordered the cards...now I just have to actually send them out this year!

Kinda weird

So during Jennifer's pregnancy, I never once was asked to make any midnight runs for food.... Now 1 mo after birth I am asked at 4:50am to get donuts... Here I come royal donut co.

New to This

We decided we needed a way to keep track of the fun times and tough times of raising our daughter. We've only had her 4 weeks as of today and are loving every minute of it. So far Gracyn has ate, slept, peed, and pooped...all the things a newborn does! We did actually take her out today to get some Christmas shopping done. I really don't know how I'm going to be able to go anywhere with just her and me. It is quiet the juggling act to get me, my purse, her carseat, diaper bag, and stroller all out of the car..but I'm sure I'll eventually get the hang of it. For now, Clint has no choice but to tag along. Anyway, I'm going to try to keep up with the events that go on around here...hopefully I will stick with it!
